Ex Breather Drain – (DP-E Series)
Redapt DP-E Series of Breather Drains provide a method of preventing moisture build-up within a hazardous area approved enclosure whilst ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.
Intended for use where an installation is subject to fluctuations in
temperature which can lead to the formation of condensation and a
subsequent moisture build-up.
The Breather Drain allows air within an enclosure to breathe with the surrounding atmosphere helping to prevent condensation and any potential damage to sensitive electric/electronic equipment housed within.
The Breather Drain will also maintain the IP66 rating of any enclosure to which it is installed.
The DP-E Series of stopping plugs are designed to be installed from the outside of an enclosure and can be used in a threaded or un-threaded entry hole. Ideally they should be located at the lowest point of an enclosure to ensure optimum draining of any moisture.
Redapt Breather Drains are designed for hazardous area applications and are certified to protection concept Exe “Increased Safety” for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications.
Approved to the latest international standards, Breather Drains can be supplied with ATEX (CENELEC), IECEx, and GOST-R hazardous area certificates.
In addition CSA approval certificates can be supplied to cover use in North American and Canadian Class I Zone 1 Exe II applications.
