Atex Earth Lead Adaptor & Reducers – (AE-E Series)
Redapt AE-E Series of Earth Lead Adaptors and Reducers provide a method of bonding a cable gland or conduit termination to a grounding point within an enclosure.
Manufactured from hexagon material for easy installation, they are supplied with an integral earth lead which is used to connect to a grounding or earth point within an enclosure. They may also be used for matching electrical threadforms on hazardous area approved equipment whilst ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.
Adaptors are used where the thread size of the cable gland or connection device is larger than, or of an equivalent size, to the entry thread of the enclosure.
Reducers are used where the thread size of the cable gland or entry device is smaller than the entry thread of the enclosure.
Redapt Earth Lead Adaptors & Reducers are designed for hazardous area applications and are certified to protection concept Exe “Increased Safety” for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications.
Approved to the latest international standards earth lead adaptors can be supplied with ATEX (CENELEC), IECEx, and GOST-R hazardous area certificates.
In addition CSA approval certificates can be supplied to cover use in North American and Canadian Class I Division 1 and Class I Zone 1 applications
