Nylon Ex Certified Adaptors & Reducers

Redapt AD-E4 and RD-E4 Series of Glass Filled Nylon Adaptors and Reducers provide a method of matching electrical threadforms on hazardous area approved equipment whilst ensuring the integrity and Ex approval of the installation is maintained.

Manufactured from hexagon material to facilitate easy installation, they are also supplied complete with a captive o-ring seal. The o-ring is located within a recess on the face of the product, helping to protect the o-ring from environmental damage and ensuring it is not displaced during installation.

Adaptors are used where the thread size of the cable gland or connection device is larger than, or of an equivalent size, to the entry thread of the enclosure.

Reducers are used where the thread size of the cable gland or entry device is smaller than the entry thread of the enclosure.

Redapt Adaptors & Reducers are designed for hazardous area applications and are certified to protection concepts Exe “Increased Safety” for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 applications.

Approved to the latest international standards, adaptors and reducers can be supplied with ATEX (CENELEC), and GOST-R hazardous area certificates. In addition CSA approval certificates can be supplied to cover use in North American and Canadian Class I Division 2 and Class I Zone 1 applications.
